Cleanse and Detox Diet Or LifeStyle Change?

You have heard me say that a cleanse or a detox is not just about drinking mixes and shakes. It involves taking in the right nutrients and eliminating wastes and toxins. It boils down to a change or a shift to a more mindful and healthy way of treating your body.

Here's a video by Dr Vincent Bellonzi.  He has a no nonsense, straightforward explanation on his view of natural lbody detox. Watch it and see if you agree with him.

If you want to do a proper detox, there are some good resource here. It walks you through what food to eat, the benefits of each type of food and how to ease into and come out of a detox plan.

This is not about quick fixes or magic bullets. Treat your body well and it will heal itself. Give it the fuel it needs so it can function properly for you.

If you sit at the desk and type all day long, you will know what shoulder and neck pain is!  If you can find time for a massage, go for it. Otherwise I suggest some good, free natural stretches which you can easily do.  


     

Do it to the degree you are comfortable with, no need to push. Just a full, deep stretch will do a lot of good.

Easy Smoothies With Potassium Rich Bananas

If you have a high sodium diet, you want to check your blood pressure. Besides cutting down on excessive sodium, you can also incorporate having more potassium in your diet.

My favourite is banana. They are filling, they are sweet and they are great base for all my smoothies. Buy a bunch of bananas and freeze some (after you peel off the skin) in ziplog bags.

When you want a cool smoothie, just cut your frozen banana and blend it. You can add some kiwis or strawberries, add your favorite nuts (almond if you like) and seed (I choose flax) and you have a lovely smoothie. Depending on how many bananas you use, this can even be an ice-cream.

If you are taking high amounts of salt in you daily diet, do consider cutting down on it if you want to maintain a healthy blood pressure level. You can add a variety of potassium rich food like apricot, avocado, spinach and tomatoes. Cutting down on the sugar will also help

Would you seek to add value in your actions, words and posts or will you take as much as you can and not want to acknowledge, support or give back to others?


These are extremes. Most of use will be somewhere in between this spectrum.
But give this a thought.


- The Abundance mindset is happy to share and support.
- It rejoices with those who succeed.
- It is also happy to acknowledge and give back to the person whom he has taken from.


In simple terms if we use another person's quote, phrase or articles we acknowledge the source.


If we ask for referral or advice, we acknowledge the support and give credit to the referral.


Simple right? Yet not everyone sees this though.


Let me give you an example.
I continue to see my articles being published without the resource box (where there are links back to the author's blog).

10 food that are good for natural body detox

You will not be surprised with the list and here they are

1 - Fruits - eat them anywhere - and I will only eat these before my meals or 2 hours after meals

2 - Living Greens - juice them or gently stem

3 - Lemon - love this with warm honey

4 - Garlic - I dice these and eat them raw every day

5 - Broccolli - raw, juice or stir fry

6 - Green Tea - replaced my coffee

7 - Seeds and nuts - I am allergic to nuts so I take only the seed.s

Bisphenol is  a chemical frequently used in the manufacturing of plastic food containers and can liners. It is now declared as toxic and banned by the Canadian government.

You Want To Know What Your Kid Is Eating ...

Research shows that those who are from ages 2 – 18 are consuming 433 calories of solid fat (those saturated and trans-fats that clog the arteries which are found in pizza and chicken nuggets) and 365 calories of added sugar from cookies, cakes, and donuts on a daily basis. And these do not provide much nutrients such as  protein, vitamins and minerals.

More alarming is the fact that higher than safe mount of sodium and added sugar are present in baby food. Even so called nutrient-rich foods, like yogurt, milk, and granola bars are loaded with added sugar.

Knowing this now, will you choose food that gives energy and nutrient? Preparing healthy meals need not be time consuming, expensive or cumbersome. If you like to know what are some healthy food that you can prepare for your kids, your family here’s some guideline.

They are rich in anti oxidant
